Isn't It Romantic?

It's great when we plan a romantic outing and everything works together perfectly. What a triumph! At those time we feel as if we are the most suave, romantic couple on earth. We planned and pulled off a wonderful time for just the two of us. Then there's music in the air and all is right in God's world.

But what about the other times. So many elements seem to conspire to throw us off the track of romance. No matter how carefully we plan that dream date and guard it on our calendar, a car breaks down, guests drop in, someone gets sick, or it rains on our picnic day of the beach. Those times when the plan goes wrong, there is no sight more worth remembering than the smile of grace appearing in the eyes of our beloved-a smile that says, "It's OK. I feel as much love as if it had all gone perfectly." Those tender moments of love and understanding will stay with us much longer than the memories of a perfect romantic date.

The courtship stage is a time of mutual fascination, curiosity, and attraction-in all ways. Couples enjoy along walks and longer talks, expressions of sensitivity come naturally, the warm glow of love abounds, and they cling to each other is syrupy displays of affection.
